Exodus 25 starts out:
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take my offering.”
Then Paul writes in Romans 12:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
God knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts. And he receives our offerings, our sacrifices, when we come to him in sincerity, in meekness, in humility.
David wrote in Psalms 51:
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth your praise. For you do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; you do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart – these, O God, you will not despise.
Lord, show me your ways…
